WSIA
is happy to announce that the first step is in
place for Phase II of the revitalization of Sepulveda
Boulevard.
We have hired the company Iacobellis &
Associates to complete a detailed survey of
sidewalks and strip losts on Sepulveda Boulevard from
Howard Hughes Center Drive to 92nd Street. The survey
will cover both sides of the street and include such
things as grade changes, fence lines, utility lines,
vaults, valves, manholes, etc.
The
completion of the survey will enable us to
proceed with Phase II which involves replacement and
repair of the sidewalks in the residential area,
meandering sidewalks, small pocket parks for sitting,
landscaping, etc. These items were all priorities
voted on by the community at the interactive workshops
held over the past two years.
This is all contingent on WSAI being
able to raise the $3 Million necessary for this
ambitious task. Soon we will be approaching local
developers, corporations and government agencies to help
finance this much-needed work.
Our goal is to put a beautiful face on
our "Gateway to LA" and we are hopeful local
businesses and government agencies will see the benefit
of partnering with us in accomplishing this.
